Hello all.
I was wondering if anyone knows the where-abouts of the LBNA F100 box
by Mapsufer? I emailed them directly and they don't know where the box
is.
Mapsurfer suggested I put my feelers out on the list and see what
happens.
I'm fairly new to Letterboxing and we just hit our 100th Find. I know
it's just a drop in the bucket but still an exciting milestone for us.
I would love to stamp into this box or any 100 find box, I heard there
might be more than 1.
Any info would be great. Thanks,
Steph of Pointer Party

I just (officially) hit the 100+ this week also and wanted to stamp into the Mapsurfer box, so I too am interested in finding it!

Maybe, if these boxes, F-100 and F-500 by Mapsurfer are missing, someone should volunteer to start circulating another set?
And then take into account those at F-1000 and beyond?
Just a suggestion - any takers?

We've stamped into F100 and F500 boxes that were created by Scoutdogs.
I believe they are still circulating around. You could contact her to
get on the list to receive the box. The F100 box usually has a big
backlog but the F500 box doesn't.

I know Scoutdogs had started another set aobut two years ago. I
beleive they are still in circulation. If i recall correctly, she is
keeping a pretty tight reign on them to prevent htem from going
missing.

Rumor has it that a particular clique has chosen to control
circulation of these boxes that I created. I am not associated
with, nor do I approve of this decision, but my philosophy is
that once I create a box, it is at the mercy of the elements
(whatever they are), which, over time, add to the challenge
of solving any box created.
As a separate aside, cliques ruin letterboxing, tho they are
part of the art for some (JMHO ...)

Never knew you to deal in rumors, Randy! :o)
Many things can happen over years, I wouldn't be quick to listen to
listen to rumors as they are often just the petty murmurs of those
who have bones to pick with others. Believe half of what you read
and nothing of what you hear I think the adage goes.
As far as letterboxing- lots of things ruin it. No respect for the
secrecy of the game, competition, numbers above the experience,
miscreants who target individual's boxes, blabbermouths announcing
whereabouts of mystery boxes, ...could go on, but you know as well as
I know what takes the fun out of things- overall disrespect for other
boxers.
I hope the boxes are found, perhaps someone has them in a backpack
having meant to send them on ages ago and is too embarassed to do so
now? Either way, perhaps this will jog them loose from wherever they
may be so those who are interested can log in.

I'm not sure where Mapsurfer's box is but Scoutdogs also has a F-100
box. I just had it a week or so ago.
Hope that helps

I'm not sure if anyone has said anything about this yet, but I did have that box about 8 months ago I think. I don't know if that helps anyone but I did pass it along.
